The Sigurd ‘Sig’ Normann Award was created in 2026 to recognize course directors who’s impact on medical education is acknowledged. These individuals have distinguished themselves by being outstanding teachers, advisors, and role models for medical students. Dr. Aris is also the first UF College of Medicine faculty member to win the Exemplary Teaching Award for the 25th time.
