Ravindra Sharma, Ph.D., receives the Second Century Early Faculty Independence Award from the American Heart Association

We are pleased to announce that Ravindra (Ravi) Sharma, Ph.D., Research Scientist in the Department of Physiology and Aging has received a Second Century Early Faculty Independence Award from American Heart Association (AHA). This grant will provide funding ($300K for 3 years) to support Ravi’s research on studying the role of central/brain mechanisms involved in the cardiovascular complications of chronic kidney disease. The Second Century Early Faculty Independence Award supports highly promising early career investigators addressing areas of critical, emerging priorities.
