Daisy Daubert to be an Assistant Professor

Daisy Daubert, Ph.D., has accepted an Assistant Professorship at Ferris State University in Michigan.  Daisy has been a postdoctoral associate in Debbie Scheuer’s lab for several years.  Her appointment will take effect in August 2009.

Leslie White (mentor: Chris Baylis) and Arthur Pope (mentor: A. J. Cardounel) both received Minority Travel Fellowships from the American Physiological Society (APS) and The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK).
Annet Kirabo (mentor: Peter Sayeski) received an APS Travel Award  (Professional Skills Training Workshop).

Jacqueline Sayyah Awarded a Ph.D. Degree

Jacqueline Sayyah has successfully defended her dissertation research and has been awarded a Ph.D. in Physiology.  Peter Sayeski was her faculty mentor.

A. J. Cardounel Appointed to NIH Committee

A. J. Cardounel, Ph.D. , has been appointed as a permanent member of the “Atherosclerosis and Inflammation of the Cardiovascular System Study Section” of NIH’s Center for Scientific Review.  The appointment takes effect in October, 2009.

Judy M. Delp Joins Our Department
