Congratulations to Monica Santisteban!

Monica Santisteban, a doctoral candidate in our department, has received the Steven M. Horvath Professional Opportunity Award.  This is an abstract-based award granted by the Education Office of the American Physiological Society to two ethnic or racial minority graduate students or postdoctoral fellows.

Monica was also selected to chair the subcommittee for the organization of the Data NCARnation session at the Experimental Biology (EB) meeting starting next year in San Diego. This is a special event sponsored by the Neural Control and Autonomic Regulation section of the American Physiological Society that provides trainees an opportunity to give a brief oral presentation during EB.
